Delivery of Exhibits

The Centre is open for delivery of exhibits on Friday between 7.00 and 8.00 pm and on Saturday between 9.00 and 10.30 am

Notes For Exhibitors

1 All exhibitors must register.

2 No competitive exhibit should have been previously entered except for pot plants.

3 All competitive entries will be given a post-it. Please write the class number on the front and your name and address on the back (sticky
side). Stick the post-it to the exhibit with the class number clearly visible.

4 For photographic entries pin the post-it to the entry with the class number clearly visible.

5 The Bob Cubin and Jubilee Cups will be awarded based on the highest number of points gained.

6 Points are awarded as follows:-

1 point – for each class entered;
3 points – for a third prize;
5 points – for a second prize;
7 points – for a first prize.

7 Entries for ‘exhibit only’ should have ‘EX’ written next to the class number.

8 If donating the exhibit for auction please stick a small green dot (provided) to the exhibit.

9 Exhibitors entering the home baking categories are invited to kindly contribute to our ‘Cake and Candy’ stall.

10 Children can only enter exhibits into their current age section.

11 The hall will be closed to exhibitors from 10.30 am to 2.00 pm.

Hints and Tips for Exhibitors

• Read the schedule carefully. It is important to exhibit what is asked for i.e. the correct number of specimens
• Uniformity is important especially in fruit and vegetables
• Vegetable hints

Vegetables should have tidy tops of 12.5 or 15 cms (can use string or rubber band)
Beetroot should be about the size of tennis balls
Peas, beans, tomatoes and courgettes should have some stalk left on
Runner beans should be straight
Courgettes should be 5/6 inches (13cms approx.) long
Marrow should be of good quality which is not necessarily the biggest

• Ensure your Poppy Brooch has a brooch back or safety pin
