Steaming Forth . . .

. . . the joy of steam & The Forth Bridge.

To celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the iconic Forth Bridge – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – this exhibition shows a number of unique and seldom-seen photographs, with details, by renowned railway photographer John Clemmens.

We are sad t inform you that John died in February 2021.  As a tribute to him, the exhibition will be on display in the Gallery on Platform 1, until further notice.

Here is a preview of a couple of John’s impressive photographs.  The first is of Maude on the Forth Bridge… under the “cathedral of steel” named by the famous artist Terence Cuneo.

Entrance is free, but donations are appreciated!

We have taken the decision to close the Gallery during the period of social distancing because of the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
