Nature round North Queensferry

The North Queensferry peninsula is a fascinating place in terms of natural heritage. The SSSI Carlingnose Nature Reserve is part of the Fife Coastal Path and well worth a short walk around the peninsula, or a longer cross-country walk on the Fife Pilgrim Way.

Here is an link to Carlingnose Nature Reserve on the Scottish Wildlife Trust website.

And here is St Margaret’s Marsh on the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust website.

Our long-term trustee John Done has conducted nature walks and has reported on the natural environment for many years through this website and our local Ferry News.

This is no longer the case but you can read John’s notes in Ferry Birds and Winter Birds
