The North Queensferry Golf Course
From a 9-hole course in 1890, the course rapidly grew to 18 holes then was redesigned twice more by 1920.
In 1916, military trenches were dug round the village – some of them across the course!
From 1922 Cruicks Quarry gradually encroached on the course, forcing two major redesigns.
Dunfermline Golf Club abandonment the course in 1928 and moved to a new course at Torrie. The Ferryhills course was then taken over by the Ferryhills Golf Club for the use of local members. It ran until 1940.
