Ferry Hills | Mr Fraser | About 2 chains south of Jamestown | A tract of elevated ground, situated between Inverkeithing and North Queensferry, and bounded on the west by the Great North Road and on the east by the Firth of Forth, a great part of these hills is covered with furze. A skirmish took place between the army of Cromwell & that of Charles II in 1651 (in July), but the Battle the following day took place near Pitreavie in Dunfermline Parish.
