The quarry business was also thriving, and continued to encroach across the course.
The third Quarry encroachment was acknowledged by the Admiralty as having taken effect on Whitsunday (May) 1926. Their memorandum of July 1926 provided compensation of a reduction in annual rent of £2 11s.
Shortly after came a fourth encroachment in 1927.
