North Queensferry has 1000 years of rich heritage and history, stretching from before the time of Queen Margaret in the 11th Century. Visitors will find lots to experience: from the unique views from the old Piers and Light Tower of our 3 famous bridges; short walks through the cobbled streets of our conservation village; or longer walks along the Fife Coastal Path from the start of the Fife Pilgrim Way.

About the Trust.

North Queensferry Heritage Trust is dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage and beauty of North Queensferry and its immediate surroundings. It aims to encourage, preserve, develop and improve features of historic, architectural or environmental value. We meet in this splendidly refurbished room in the Railway Station, with its Victorian chandelier.

After three years of Covid-19 restrictions our annual Village Show is back on the agenda for 2023!

We plan to get back to our normal program of walks and talks as soon as possible – watch this space

Volunteering

The decreasing focus on activities for members has seen the membership of the trust dwindle over the past few years to the point where it is barely viable. No one in the village is interested in joining the trust, far less in volunteering to help. Hence the need for this appeal to the wider community.

Web site updates – September 2024

Posted on September 2nd, 2024

We have recently acquired a few old postcards of Inverkeithing and Rosyth. I have posted these on the Image Gallery.

In the Library I added a copy of a booklet commemorating the centenary of HMS Claverhouse, the HQ of the RNVR Division in the Forth from 1922 to 1994.

Finally I have updated the library’s collection of NQHT Newsletters
